I absolutely love Eggnog and before I went dairy free this was one of my favorite recipes! Be sure to sprinkle plenty of nutmeg on the top!
What you need:
1 1/2 cups whole milk (may use part cream here)
2 raw egg yolks (See note)
2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 Tablespoons real maple syrup
What you do:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend well. Top with additional nutmeg if you like it and enjoy with some Christmas cookies!
**Note: I would recommend you get fresh farm eggs, preferably pastured, from a reliable source when using them raw or otherwise.
