I am meeting so many wonderful people covering these stories each Sunday. It has been such an honor to hear their courageous stories and share them with you! Here is Tammies’s story….
A little bit of background…
At the age of 12 Tammie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. At the age of 28 she was then diagnosed with MS and then at the age of 38 she was diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer. She would describe these three diseases as, diabetes being the hardest disease to live with, MS being the most frustrating and cancer being the scariest of them all.
At the age of 16, she went to a doctor to “heal” diabetes. He put her on a very conservative Atkins diet so she could get off of insulin. She was able to get off of insulin for about 1 month. She felt terrible the entire time. She lost to much weight, was always tired and had disruptive female cycles to name a few side effects. Eventually she had to go back on insulin since her blood sugar was still to high. Today she eats mostly veggies with some grains, fruit, and protein. She exercises, uses some essential oils and takes insulin.
When she received the cancer diagnosis she was scheduled for chemo since it had spread. However, after having surgery she got blood clots and when they wanted to start the chemo she knew her body wasn’t ready. Reading the side-effects of the chemo and the drug she was prescribed she figured her chances weren’t very good for survival so she began to do some research. After 3 weeks of intense research she decided to use some alternative methods under a board certified doctor’s guidance which would include treatment for all 3 diseases with cancer being the primary.
Here’s what she did….
- She completed 30 days of IV therapy of a plant and mineral derived treatment, along with a nasal spray and sub-lingual plant and mineral tincture.
- She did a liver detox of lemon juice and beets.
- She removed anything “white” from her diet such as sugar, flour, baking soda/powder, milk/cheese ect.
- She significantly reduced her stress.
- She focused on an alkaline diet and drank Kangen water with 9.5 alkalinity.
There were other things she did, but this was her primary focus.
What were the results….
After the first 10 days of the IV therapy her cancer marker dropped in half from post surgery
After a few months she no longer noticed the MS symptoms, one of them being when she would get hot her eyes would get real blurry and distorted. The next year she had an MRI done and the lesions on her brain had disappeared except one which was reduced in size.
She does still take insulin but her A1C is in good control and she was able to reduce her insulin intake.
A word of wisdom from her….
“Health is really about the mind, body and spirit. Find your why-why do you want to live? Believe you will and feed your mind and body accordingly. Reduce your stress-it really is a killer. Keep perspective in your mind. How many awful things in your life have happened that you have come through? This is no different. The light at the end of the tunnel is an improved and better you.”

What an inspiration Trisha. How do you find such people to talk to?
Isn’t that an awesome story? I am honored to know of a lot of people in the alternative health realm and it is largely due to the challenges they’ve had in their own life that brought them to that place. I love hearing their stories 🙂
